The Community Advocacy & Legal Centre (CALC) is a non-profit, community legal clinic. We provide free legal services to people living on a low income in Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox & Addington Counties, and Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

Our primary funder is Legal Aid Ontario. We also receive funds from other sources, such as the Law Foundation of Ontario, Advocacy for Tenants Ontario, and Hastings County Homeless Prevention Program.

We’re a charitable organization and can accept private donations. Our charitable registration number is 12464 4121 RR0001.

Why donate?

We use donations to expand our services, which helps more people access the justice system. Donations allow us to hire more legal and outreach staff so we can better serve the community.

How to donate

You can drop off donations in person, donate by e-transfer to contact@calc.clcj.ca or send in donations by mail to our main office:

You can donate online through Canada Helps.

We can provide a charitable receipt for all donations over $25, but we gratefully appreciate donations of any amount.
