Abby Nolan

Abby began working at CALC in the summer of 2023. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree in Sociology and Gender Studies from Queen’s University. Throughout her degree, Abby studied the functions of, laws embedded within, and the interactions individuals have with the Canadian Criminal Justice System. However, Abby also studied how intersecting social inequalities can impact the experiences individuals have with the law and consequently, their perceptions of the law and legal authorities.

Abby’s current work as a Legal and Administrative Assistant focuses primarily on managing the files of individuals who have been denied ODSP benefits by the Disability Adjudication Unit and facilitating correspondence with various health care providers to obtain medical evidence for the individual’s appeal with the Social Benefits Tribunal.
