Ontario Health Insurance Plan
For general questions about the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), call 1-888-376-5197, TTY 1-800-387-5559, or the Ministry INFOLine 1-800-664-8988 or visit their website.
To appeal an OHIP decision, write a letter (within 15 days of receiving the decision) to the OHIP Eligibility Review Committee. Include a copy of the decision and why you feel it was wrong.
If you are not satisfied with OHIP’s decision, write the Health Services Appeal & Review Board.
