Marieanne Langer

Prior to joining the clinic in 1997, Marieanne worked in a private law office for 6 years.  She is a licensed paralegal and holds the position of community legal worker with specific training in Ontario Disability Support Program Appeals. Marieanne also handles other social assistance matters in addition to ODSP and represents clients at appeal hearings before the Social Benefits Tribunal.

Sharon Powell

Sharon began working at the legal clinic in 2002, coming from a private law office with a background in family law. She received her law clerk certificate from the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO) in 2001. In 2002, she was awarded the Epstein Cole LLP Family Law Award for achieving the highest mark in ILCO’s family law fellowship course. In her current role, as a community legal worker and licensed paralegal, Sharon represents clients before the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (CICB). She is passionate about helping victims of abuse find closure and receive compensation. Sharon also oversees our volunteer program.
